Technical Behavioral

The interview process started with a one-hour aptitude test. The interviewer didn't show up, so a chemist and an engineer interviewed me. They asked normal questions like, 'why should we hire you?' Then I waited for the manager interview. The manager asked me to describe myself, my uni project, and my achievements. The manager did not explain the work environment. Two days later, I got a call with an offer, which was shocking because the first day's work area was not as seen on the internet. There are 10k employees, mostly foreign workers, and it's difficult to understand what they talk about. There's no on-the-job training, and you learn from the workers. It's trial and error for new chemicals, and you have to write reports to present. Department ranking not good means you get a reminder letter. If night shift workers are sleeping, you get a training letter. If SAP doesn't tally, you get a warning. There are always spot checks and housekeeping for Tan Sri's visit.

Behavioral Technical Coding

I applied through jobstreet in May 2020 and was selected for a phone interview pretty quickly, within the same week. Then there were four assessments: an IQ test, a maths test, a behavioral test, and then three interview questions. After that, I had an interview with the lab manager and a post doc, but I didn't move on to the HR manager.

Technical Behavioral Other

First, I took a math, IQ, and reasoning test in the HR room. The math questions were mainly about sales and profits, and the reasoning questions involved being given a scenario and explaining how I'd handle it. There was also an essay asking why they should hire me. The test conditions in the noisy, stuffy HR staffroom made it tough to concentrate, and the time limit of about an hour was quite tight. After that, there was a one-on-one interview.
