I had to get some slides ready for a presentation about myself, my experience, strengths, weaknesses, and achievements. After that, they tested me with questions about production and manufacturing. It was a good interview overall, and they are looking for an amazing person to join their team.

The interviewer asked me a few questions about past assignments/projects relevant to the position and previous leadership roles I've had. We spoke over a virtual platform. The interviewer also explained the job scope and gave an overview of the company.

I interviewed in Nov 2016 at Top Glove for a Process Engineer role at their Banting branch. On the same day as my exams, I had my BMI measured and then a second interview with senior engineers. Despite being tired from just finishing my shift, it was a good day. Two weeks later, they wanted to proceed, but my BMI was 27, and they asked me to get it below 25 within a week. I was hopeful and worked out daily, cutting out carbs, and even bought a scale. I didn't quite make it in a week, but they gave me another week to re-measure at their company. I managed to reduce my BMI and went for confirmation, receiving praise from HR for my effort and new habits. A week later, I got an email for an IQ test, which they missed earlier. I had to print, answer, scan, and email it back, which was challenging as I was out of town and couldn't easily find a printer, but I eventually found one at UKM. I was worried about the score but felt confident. I emailed it back that night. Two days later, they called for unclear information in my profile, which I found strange since it wasn't asked earlier. I couldn't explain fully over the short call, fearing negative assumptions. Two days after that, I received an email stating I wasn't selected. I was shocked and felt hopeless, questioning if my efforts and changes were unnoticed. After taking time to process, I called them back. They were also surprised, saying I'd passed all stages and lost weight, but couldn't give a reason as the Chairman rejected me. I felt frustrated by the treatment, believing people who go through obstacles deserve more respect. I decided I wouldn't want to work with such a leader. I sent a letter to the Chairman and CEO asking for the reason for rejection for my personal growth but received no reply.
