This was a horrible interview experience. The interview itself was basic and okay, but their feedback was unhelpful. While it's acceptable to reject a candidate, they resorted to a phone call to label me a job hopper and accuse me of "just looking for more money." It was very rude, as they could have simply stated my rejection and ended the conversation.

The interview process was quick and straightforward. They gave me a tour of the shop and explained how the work is done, which seemed similar to how Argos operates. The interview itself involved pretty standard questions like 'tell me about yourself' and 'why should we hire you'.

I filled out an online application, which was a very detailed but easy form. Things seemed very positive at first. A few days later, I got a call inviting me for an interview. The manager seemed a bit scattered, forgetting to mention I needed documentation and then calling the day before to remind me. I arrived early for the interview, but there was a customer issue, so it started late. The team leader introduced themselves, got me settled, and chatted about the fire exit. This part was very positive. Once the manager was free from a customer, I was given a simple task involving counting boxes, basic addition, and a short writing exercise. They gave me a paper test. I felt this could have been given to me earlier while the manager was busy with the customer, instead of me sitting around for about 30 minutes doing nothing and then spending another 20 minutes on the test. It wasn't very time-efficient. I was impressed they remembered details from my online form, like my preferred name and the fact that I had just moved across the country. The interview and online process were fairly positive overall. However, what really disappointed me and led to a negative rating was not hearing back after the interview. The manager said they would get back to me later that week, and it's been a month. Although I moved on after that week, I haven't heard anything. I'm not too concerned about the outcome, but as a business, you should follow through on promises, whether to a customer or not. I've had about 30 interviews and never been completely ignored, even when not getting the position. Usually, I get an email or phone call. This company completely forgot about me, losing all credibility in my eyes.
