Account Manager
The interview process was pretty straightforward and moved quickly. They were really good about telling me about the company and what the job involves. They were friendly and answered all my questions. They actually got back to me within the week they said they would.
- Can you share an instance where you managed a challenging account and how you addressed the customer's specific issue with their account?

I was contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn. We had a phone call and they figured I had the skills. The recruiter set up another phone interview for the next week. On the day, the recruiter told me I would be talking to one of the hiring managers. I waited over an hour, but no one called. I reached out to the recruiter, and she said she'd check. A few days later, she told me the phone interview was rescheduled. Even though I was on PTO, I decided to do it. The interview day came, and again, I waited over 30 minutes with no call. I contacted the recruiter and told her I had other things to do and wasn't going to keep waiting around. She apologized and asked me to hold on. About 20 minutes later, she said one of the hiring managers would call. The HM did call, and it was a good conversation. She asked technical and some behavioral questions. The HM invited me for an in-person interview with another HM. We scheduled it for the following week, and I was told it would be 45 minutes. I got there early for the interview. To my surprise, I was told I'd be interviewed by four people. I decided to do my best, even though I knew I'd miss picking up my baby from daycare. The interviews were very technical. After we finished, the director mentioned that the HM I had spoken with was leaving and they were making changes, and I should expect to hear from them soon. Two months went by, and the recruiter told me to move on because they had changed their minds and hired no one. So, I wasted a lot of time, but thankfully realized the leadership team wasn't organized. I liked the company's culture and mission, but it's a shame they waste people's time like that. I wish them luck, but with things like this, I don't see them lasting long.
- Could you tell me which WMS systems you have experience with?
- Which EDI transactions are you familiar with?
- Do you have the capability to perform transaction mapping?

TOMS really cares about their employees and it shows in the interview process. I went through several rounds (phone screen, Skype and on-site) with various departments. This was invaluable not only because I learned how my particular role fits in with the larger organization but also the unique challenges each team faces. None of this felt like 'information overload'- each round provided a new angle for how I could approach the job. As for the actual interviews, everyone I spoke with was open and inviting. This felt less like a formal interview and more like a open/honest conversation with TOMS employees. We hit on unique short-term and long-term challenges the company will face in 2017 but I never walked away from these discussions thinking the problems were insurmountable. Any lingering questions I had after each interview were quickly addressed in follow-up rounds. Special shout-out to my recruiter and recruiting coordinator who helped guide through every stage of this process. They both worked very hard to make sure I had all relevant information ahead of every interview. And if I needed anything, they responded quickly.

They had a phone interview that was both behavioral and technical. Then, an in-person interview that was super casual, but included an "on the spot" business analysis. The whole thing was pretty straightforward and efficient. TOMS really looks for a specific kind of person – it's not just about being technically qualified, but really about fitting in with their culture. Make sure you really get their culture, vision, mission, and values.
- Can you share an experience where you had to complete a project with insufficient resources?
- Describe a situation where you faced limited resources while trying to achieve a project goal.
- Tell me about a time you accomplished a project despite having limited resources.
