First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Toddle.
Software Engineer Intern
So I applied for the React Native Developer role at Toddle through campus placement. First, there was this assignment where we had to build a mobile app to show what we can do. After they shortlisted, I had an intro call, then a technical interview. The last step was an HR interview, asking about my background, why I want to work there, and if I'd fit in.
- Can you explain JavaScript concepts?
- Can you explain React concepts?
- Can you explain React Native concepts?

A recruiter reached out to talk about the company's goals and what they're looking for. It felt like typical corporate talk, and it seemed like they weren't aiming to expand their customer base beyond IB schools. I was given a take-home assignment that was pretty straightforward. They initially said the interview questions would be based on the assignment, but that wasn't the case. The interview mainly featured theoretical questions that didn't connect to my assignment. No one on the panel asked about my strategy for the assignment. The interview included just one web-based application task, which I finished quickly. There were also basic DSA questions, the kind you can answer without needing to grind Leetcode.
- Tell me about your other offers.
- We'd like to ask you some System Design questions.
- Can you answer some questions about Web development?
Software Engineer
The interview process included a react assignment, two technical interviews lasting 1.5 to 2 hours each, and a live coding round over an hour. There was also a final round with the CTO that went for more than 40 minutes. The whole thing took about a month. My experience was okay, and I felt I did well, but I got rejected. I think it might be because I was honest with the CTO about the interviewers, which they didn't seem to appreciate. Still, the interviews helped me prepare, and I ended up getting a great offer elsewhere, so it's all good.
