Backend Engineer Intern
The interview process had 3 rounds. Round 1 was a discussion about the assignment and some JavaScript and SQL questions. Round 2 involved designing and writing SQL queries for an education platform. The final round was an HR round, focusing on conceptual questions like the difference between SQL and NoSQL, and some SQL query questions.
- What are your thoughts on SQL and JS questions and DSA?
- Can you explain the difference between SQL and NoSQL?
- Do you have any SQL query questions?
Software Engineer Intern
So I applied for the React Native Developer role at Toddle through campus placement. First, there was this assignment where we had to build a mobile app to show what we can do. After they shortlisted, I had an intro call, then a technical interview. The last step was an HR interview, asking about my background, why I want to work there, and if I'd fit in.
- Can you explain JavaScript concepts?
- Can you explain React concepts?
- Can you explain React Native concepts?
Frontend Developer
The interview process was pretty straightforward. We were given an assignment to build a course-builder app with drag-and-drop. They mainly focused on the code quality, not so much the functionality. After the assignment, there were interviews. First, we coded a simple UI with HTML and CSS. Then came JS output questions, followed by DSA questions, and finally, two questions about React.js. The last interview was a chat with the technical lead, with a few small questions sprinkled in. Overall, it was a good experience.
- Can you find the Majority Element that appears n/2 times?
- How would you debug the useMemo hook in React?
- Code a basic UI using HTML and CSS.
Software Developer
So the interview process went like this: First, there was an introductory call. Then, a technical interview where they asked about my projects and some JS and React theory. After that, a take-home assignment. The second technical interview focused on discussing the assignment, with output-based questions about JS and React, and a quick 10-minute coding challenge for an HTML/CSS page. Finally, there was a CTO round for cultural fit and an HR round. Btw, the interviewers were nice, but they really messed up the timeline. Both tech interviews were supposed to be an hour, but they ended up being 2.5 hours each. Pretty bad interview planning.
- Can you explain debouncing?
- What about throttling?
- Could you answer some basic data structure and algorithm questions?
