I applied online and a recruiter got in touch to set up a phone interview. Then I was invited onsite to chat with different department heads. It was a friendly vibe and the interviews were pretty standard and organized.

It was a pretty simple interview. They asked me about my past work and why I was interested in joining TMZ. I also had to do a quick quiz where I identified celebrities by their photos. I wasn't very good at it, but they still gave me an offer.

After getting through the initial phone screen, I was invited to the studio for another interview. This was a one-on-one meeting, and I also got a tour of the studio. I felt it went well and the interviewer seemed really into it, wanting me to do a writing test right then. I was directed to the assistant's office for the test, but she had already left for the day. Ultimately, about 90 days later, I got a rejection email.

Behavioral Other

This was an easy interview process. The first round involved a background chat and a celebrity quiz. The second interview focused on the daily responsibilities and getting to know the head of design. I was told I was a top candidate and would hear back by the end of the week, but I never did.
