It was a straightforward interview. No technical questions were asked. They mainly wanted to get to know me. If you show you want to learn, you'll get the job. They are understanding about scheduling around school and other commitments.

This interview was conducted over the phone. I thought the questions were relevant, but the interview was unusual. Throughout the 45-minute phone call, the interviewer sounded like they were NOT remotely paying attention to my answers and consistently repeated themselves or had extended pauses for 5, 10, and sometimes even 15 seconds. I didn't want to speculate about what she was doing or not, but I didn't feel like I had the interviewer's undivided attention. This was frustrating because I had prepared for this interview. Even if I had progressed further into the interview process at TLC Engineering Solutions, I would have likely lost interest based solely on this interview.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

So, first I chatted with the Recruiting Specialist who looked over my resume and experience. Then, I had a technical phone interview with the Human Resources Manager. We went deeper into the processes, procedures, and tools I've used, and they asked me some situational questions. The last part was an onsite assessment and panel interview. This included the Recruiting Specialist, the HR Manager, and a Division Director from the team I'd be recruiting for. I also got a tour, and the Benefits Coordinator explained the benefits package.

Behavioral Technical

Had a 15 minute phone call with a reviewer, who gave me advice on how to talk to the manager and what to get ready for. They were really nice and seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say. Then, I had a 30 minute phone chat with the manager. They asked me a couple of questions about me, but it was a really smooth conversation and the manager was funny and kind. Overall, it was a great interview experience.
