First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TK Elevator.
Project Manager
It started with a phone screen with the recruiter. Then I had 2 virtual interviews, one on one and one presentation to a panel with questions. The hiring manager interviewed me while he was on vacation. The panel presentation started at 7:15 am. There was more without any communication and then they wanted me to interview the next day.
- How would you handle team members who are not performing well, and what's your approach if a colleague needs assistance when you're pressed for time?
- Describe your strategy for managing underperforming team members. Additionally, how would you respond if a colleague requested your help with their tasks when you have limited availability?
Project Manager
An outside recruiter I knew reached out to me and set up my first interview. It was a face-to-face meeting with the hiring manager over breakfast at a restaurant. Next, I had another in-person interview, this time at the office with the group head (a Vice President). After waiting a couple of days, I had a final interview over the phone with a very Senior Project Manager, who later became a Director and my boss.
- Can you provide an overview of your professional background?
- What experience do you have specifically with ERP implementations?
- How does your educational background align with business and technology principles?
Project Manager
The hiring process can be quite slow due to HR procedures. The recruiters are friendly, but the interview structure can differ significantly depending on the hiring manager. Aside from the standard HR steps for posting, scheduling, and offering, there isn't a set interview format. Some candidates have one-on-one interviews, others face panels, some meet various team members during a tour, and in some cases, hiring happens solely based on phone interviews without any in-person meetings.
- Can you discuss your past experiences and how you manage stressful situations?
