First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TJ Maxx.
Sales Assistant
The process was great and had a lot of detailed questions. I wish everyone good luck. It's a great employer, very nice. I would apply again for this position to start my career.
- What makes you a good fit for this role?
Sales Assistant
After you apply, there's a phone screen, then an in-person interview where they'll ask about your experience and availability. They might also do a skills test and a background check. Afterward, you'll get some follow-up questions, like situational scenarios (about 10-20 questions).
- Can you share an instance where you had to improvise?
- Describe a situation where you experienced failure.
- What are your working hours availability?
Sales
I applied in person, and they interviewed me there. Even though I could work full-time, they were only looking for part-time sales. It was straightforward, with little to no probing. They invited me for an interview the following Monday. I'm still finalizing things, but I got the job.
- Which department would you prefer to work in?
