It was a two-part interview process. First, a phone screen, then an in-person interview at the office. I also had to complete an online assessment before the in-person interview. The interview questions were straightforward. Everyone was very friendly.

So, the interview process kicked off with a phone screen, which is pretty standard for corporate roles. It was pretty short, like 15-20 minutes. After I passed that, they invited me for an in-person interview a couple of days later, and then they actually offered me the job! They also had me do a background check and a drug screen.

The interview process was informal and slow. I had to wait about 10 minutes after arriving to be seen. I interviewed with two people who didn't seem very engaged. They offered me the job, but then called a few weeks later to say they'd hired someone else. This was after I had already resigned from my previous job. It was surprising to receive a verbal offer and then have it rescinded.

I had my interview in a conference room with the VP. She asked me questions about my background, why they should hire me, and what my former supervisor would say about me. I felt totally at ease. There were no computer-based skills tests or personality questionnaires.

  • What would a former employer say about me?
