I first read the job description, then sent in my CV, portfolio, cover letter, and answered some extra questions like why I wanted to work at Tiqets. After that, I got an email and had my first interview with an HR executive. Then, I was given a two-part assignment. Once I finished that, the HR person said the team liked my work and gave me a third assignment. They liked that one too, and I had a second interview with the team. The whole thing took over a month. In the end, they rejected me because I didn't have much data analysis knowledge. The feedback was 'the team has reservations about your data analysis skills.' What was frustrating is that data analysis was never mentioned at any point during the process – not in the job description, not in the first interview, and not in any of the assignments. They could have easily brought it up or made an assignment for it. It feels like they don't care how much time a candidate puts in, and their hiring process is pretty bad.

A recruiter first reached out to me to set up an initial chat. We talked about the job, and then they set up a second meeting with the head of content and another senior person on the team. The recruiter was super fast with everything and always got back to my emails quickly. After the first interview, I had another one with senior management.
