I went through the interview process for this role again after some years. Initially, they invited me for an onsite interview with the hiring manager. I wasn't thrilled but agreed. I had to take a day off work and drive more than 6 hours for a 30-minute meeting that could've easily been done virtually or over the phone, not to mention the un-reimbursed travel expenses. They rejected me a day after. The whole process felt rushed, and they seemed disengaged during my answers. There was a homework assignment before the onsite, asking for details on how my background fit the job. The last part was a mock presentation to check my presenting skills.

Recruiter reached out about a good opportunity, so I decided to try even though I wasn't actively looking. I passed several interviews pretty easily. They told me there was just one last round left, gave me good feedback, and then assigned me an assignment to prepare. I did the assignment, but then, just 2 hours before my presentation, they texted saying the position was on hold and apologized for wasting my time. The company's products are great, but their reputation as an employer is definitely bad.
