I had a recruiter chat for this role. Applied as it was listed remote, even bolded on the ad. But at the end they asked about hybrid, with the office in Central London and I'm based in the North of England. Frustrating given the ad. Recruiter said she'd ask the team about remote and get back, but then ghosted. Waste of time.

So, I was contacted by the hiring manager and they booked an hour for an initial call. It felt more like an interrogation though, they barely took any time to get to know me. I wondered if they were trying to get my marketing strategies from previous employers because of the questions they asked. I'd be careful about how much info you give, it felt like they just wanted to get ideas. The interview was odd.

The 3 panel interview was fairly easy. A few things I noticed. The company says they value diversity, but everyone I interacted with from the recruiter to the 3 panelist where all the same color...I dont think many African Americans are hired here, and Im willing to be if the % of race is pulled I would be right. The team had on their Poker face the entire time, it was as if they were reading from a paper. When I asked them about their ambassador of fun, and shades of black initiatives, they had no idea what I was talking about.
