First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Time Inc..
Marketing Manager
HR called me for the first round, then I had to do a skills test after. Turns out the position was already given to someone internal.
- Can you describe the financial analysis techniques you regularly employ in your role?
Associate Marketing Manager
I applied online and a recruiter reached out to schedule an in-person chat the next day. We talked about my background and why I was interested in the role and company. I also had to do a skills assessment with logic and math problems. Then, I met with the VP who oversees the teams I would be working with. This meeting was mostly behavioral questions. Next, I interviewed with my potential direct manager, and it was also behavioral questions. Lastly, I had a phone interview with someone else on the team, which was also behavioral.
- Can you share an instance where you demonstrated innovation?
Marketing Manager
Had 4 interviews at Time. First, a recruiter call, then 2 interviews with the hiring manager, followed by a skills test. The final round was with the Director and SVP. They mentioned needing to hire someone quickly and expected to respond within a week, but it's been over a month with no communication despite my follow-ups. Interestingly, I was contacted by HR for a different role during this time. This whole experience has unfortunately tarnished my previous positive view of the company.
- Could you give a brief 30-second pitch about yourself relevant to marketing?
