First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tim Hortons.
General Manager
I applied online and then they called me to schedule an interview date. They didn't provide any information other than that I had to meet them at a hotel. Upon arrival and asking at the front desk, they laughed and told me they thought a man in the bar was conducting the interviews. I'm surprised that a company of this size didn't bother to rent a conference room for the interviews.
- In your long-term career vision, where do you see yourself within this company in the next 5 to 10 years?
General Manager
I had a phone interview where they grilled me pretty hard. It was at one of their cafes. It was a by-the-book interview. They checked my references, so it was good I was ready. The whole thing took two weeks.
- Can you share your experience?
General Manager
It was a pretty simple interview process, not too challenging. It was mainly about your past experiences, because they really look at how you perform and how fast you pick things up once you're in the role.
- What contributes to your success?
