Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tim Hortons.
Senior Associate
They had me code a bagel sorting algorithm from scratch in Fortran. It was pretty easy and I used my Fortran skills and wizard sticks to impress them!
- What's your name and what's your favorite color?
Associate
The interview process was extremely unorganized and more difficult than it should've been. I would recommend everyone to not waste their time because they are looking for someone to overwork with minimal pay. The way they parted the interviewees at the final interview was brutal and reminded me of picking teams during elementary school soccer.
- Can you share an instance where you demonstrated leadership?
- What are your thoughts on pricing strategies?
- Do you have any experience with marketing questions?
Associate
I was asked about my motivation for this role and my availability. The atmosphere was relaxed, and all the questions felt very casual and easygoing.
- What makes you want this job?
- What's your availability like?
