First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tillys.
Assistant Store Manager
Had a quick phone chat with the District Manager. Then, I met with a Store Manager at the mall to chat and walk around. After that, I got invited to interview at a busier store. Met the manager at a coffee shop for about 20 minutes, talked about my management background and why I wanted the job at Tillys. Got an offer the next day. The whole thing was pretty pleasant.
- What is your motivation for wanting to join Tilly's?
Store Manager
The interview process is pretty involved. You’ll probably talk to your district manager, another district manager, someone from regional loss prevention, and then your regional director. Sometimes it goes fast, but other times it might take longer because of management’s travel plans.
- Can you tell me about your personality?
- What skills do you bring to this role?
- How would you describe your leadership style?
Assistant Store Manager
You'll have about 2 or 3 interviews with different managers, from the store level all the way up to the regional manager. It might sound a little intimidating, but they really just want to get to know you and see what you can bring to the company.
- If you were to be hired, what are your expectations from the company?
