It was fairly easy. We were put into a group interview, though sometimes it's done solo. It didn't take too long and just felt like a regular interview. They mainly wanted to see how well you'd handle a customer service role and get a feel for your personality.

You'll start with a group interview. If you pass that, you'll have a one-on-one chat with the store manager. It's a good idea to wear clothes from Tilly's or something that fits their style. Definitely avoid wearing logos from other brands or companies.

  • Can you describe a place where you received excellent customer service and explain your reasons why?

Group Presentation Other

It was a group interview with only two people. We both had to answer questions, and whoever wanted to go first could. It wasn't very organized. The other person interviewing piggybacked off my answers and never went first. After the questions, they took us to the floor, gave us employee lanyards and told us to pick out outfits for a male and female, maybe for specific occasions or just on trend. They wanted to see which outfit we'd pick as if we were the customer. The other guy complained about the female outfit and said he didn't know how to help a girl since he's a dude. He ended up getting the offer because he had the same name as the interviewer who had us do the floor task. It was a bad experience, and I don't recommend group interviews.

  • Can you suggest some trendy outfits for me?
