The first call with the recruiter was great. They gave me a good idea of the job and what to expect, and really looked at my resume before I moved on. The next interview was totally different though. The person interviewing me seemed checked out and things felt really awkward. Some questions were tough, which is fine, but some didn't seem to relate to the job description at all. The worst part was finding out later I didn't get the job because of 'a lack of technical skill,' even though we never talked about or tested any technical skills. So the feedback felt all over the place and I'm not sure why I didn't get it. It left me with a pretty bad impression, even though the job seemed like a good fit.

Interview for the Senior Account Manager position. First, you have contact with HR where they give you a practical exercise (for me, working with the TikTok Shop team, they asked me to develop a product promotion video for the platform in 3 business days). The second contact is also with HR (non-Italian) for a call (not a video call, but a simple Whatsapp call) discussing experience, expectations, company culture, and some behavioral questions. The third interview is with the line manager. The process was smooth, although very cold; I suggest avoiding Whatsapp interviews (it's not engaging) and using video calls instead. First, an HR rep will chat with you to go over your basic expectations and what the company's interview process looks like. Then, you'll meet with the Hiring Manager to discuss the role's scope and expectations. After that, there's a peer interview to see how you'd fit into the internal team environment. Finally, the Hiring Manager and a person one level up will assess your cross-functional working collaboration skills.
