Customer Marketing Specialist
First a basic screening, then I had an interview with two hiring managers, and another with members of the customer team. The recruiter was super helpful and responsive, and gave me a call to go over my feedback.
- What's a weakness of yours?
Senior SDET
The process started via LinkedIn, followed by a screening via Zoom. After passing this first interview, four more were scheduled with different team members. In general, the process, although agile, seemed quite inefficient (4 interviews), only for the response to be unsatisfactory, almost two weeks after the last interview.
- Tell me about your experience in automation and manual testing.
- Can you explain QA concepts such as test plans, strategies, and types of tests?
- Regarding automation, what's your experience with Selenium WebDriver?
Android Software Developer
After seeing the job posting on a campus career website, I applied to TigerText and was quickly set up for a phone screening. The screening was with a recruiter, and the questions focused on my resume and general Android experience, which I think went well. I was told I'd hear back in about two weeks about a second round with the Director of Operations. After two weeks with no word, I emailed the recruiter and got a reply about a week later saying other candidates were moved forward. It's disappointing I didn't advance given how easy the first round was, and I'm pretty annoyed by TigerText's lack of communication and transparency.
- Can you tell me how long you've been developing for Android?
- Have you published any applications?
- What are the download numbers for your published apps?
Systems Administrator
It was a pretty standard interview process. Started with a recruiter call, then a Zoom meeting with the hiring manager. After that, it got a bit much with 3 hours of interviews with 6 people. It was mostly a good experience, apart from the interview with the CFO. He was eating lunch, seemed distracted by something off-camera, and was clearly checking emails. I'd steer clear if you value your time and don't want to feel like the interviewer isn't respecting it.
- Can you provide an overview of your experience?
