Operations Assistant
After completing a lengthy online application and a personality test, I received a phone call. The call was somewhat unusual, happening around 7 pm on a weeknight. The assistant manager asked me some basic questions and then invited me for an in-person interview. During the in-person interview, which was quite basic, I had to clarify my resume and discuss my computer and customer service skills. The district and store manager was also present. She asked me straightforward questions, including more about my computer skills and how I would handle an angry customer situation. Her abrupt departure after the interview, leaving me waiting for 10 minutes in a private sales room, struck me as unprofessional. The assistant manager eventually thanked me and mentioned a decision would be made in 2-3 weeks. The next day, I received another call from the assistant manager, who asked a few more questions, primarily seeking elaboration on my past experience. The day after that, I was extended a job offer.
- Can you tell me more about your customer service background?
- What are your capabilities with computers?
- How would you handle a situation involving an upset customer?
Operations Assistant
Had a phone interview, and about to have 1-1 interview. I have to be honest here, and say that i am a little bit dissapointed. I dont think of myself as the smartest kid, but these big companies aquire so many interviews, questions, preparation, long working hours, and the position they offer is not intelectually challenging at all. Why do we have to go through 5 interviews in 3 months period to get the position such as moving boxes, or bringing jewlery from one floor to another. Is this the price we have to pay in getting into these big name companies?
- Can you describe a time you did more than what your job description asked for?
- How do you view the importance of customer service?
- What makes you want to work for Tiffany?
