First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tide.
Manager
The interview process started promptly, but after a few rounds, they stopped communicating, which felt like a waste of my time. They assigned a case study that took over two days to complete, which is unusual as I haven't seen other companies assign so much pre-joining work.
- Why Tide??????
- What are your salary expectations?
- Tell me about a scenario.
CRM Manager
So the interview process was supposed to be three rounds: first, a chat with the senior manager I'd report to, then a case study presentation to a panel with that manager and the engagement lead, and finally a round with the director. But after those three, they threw in a fourth round which they called a 'cultural fit' discussion, but it was actually another technical round – which felt a bit misleading since that wasn't the original plan. After that, they said I did well in all rounds and had an expectation-setting call where they talked a lot about the role and stuff, making it seem like I was moving forward. Then, just two days later, they told me they weren't going to proceed with my application. They didn't give a clear reason, even though I thought I'd passed everything and got good feedback. The whole thing took about a month, and while I get that things can change, it just felt unprofessional how unclear it was, the sudden change in direction, and not respecting the time I put in. They really need to be more structured and considerate of candidates.
- Tell me about a promotional campaign you managed from start to finish, detailing your involvement in both the strategy and implementation phases.
CRM Manager
First, there was an interview with the HR Manager to check suitability and your experience. Then, the Hiring manager talked to you about the role and asked why you are looking for a new opportunity, especially with Tide. After that, a group interview was conducted where you were given an assessment an hour before to test how you approach a problem. Finally, you interviewed with an Exec member to understand how you would fit in and your background, focusing on vision and long-term objectives.
- What specifically makes you want to work for Tide?
- Given our goal of increasing customer conversions for XXX, what CRM strategy would you implement?
