Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ticketmaster.
Marketing Assistant
It was a pretty standard interview process with an initial chat, a simple task to complete, and then a presentation. Everyone was nice, but it was a bit annoying they said I was too senior for the job, which they could have seen from my CV.
- Can you share your past experience?
- What do you know about digital platforms?
Marketing Executive
I applied online and got an automatic reply asking me to pick an interview date. I went for an interview at their office and was invited back for a second round. I was expecting a call about the job offer, but instead, I got an automatic email saying I didn't get the role. I found this a bit disrespectful after going through two rounds. They asked a lot of general, competency-based questions.
- Describe a situation where you challenged the status quo.
- Can you share an instance where you followed a manager's directive against your own judgment, and it resulted in a positive outcome?
Marketing
It was a very simple interview with no technical questions. It felt like the hiring was based on personal likability rather than experience. There was a lot of emphasis on whether I could speak languages or had travelled, which didn't seem relevant. They also mentioned needing someone urgently, which is a definite red flag and suggests a desperate hire.
- What languages are you able to speak?
