Software Engineer
The interview process was pretty bad. The CTO seemed to think I was overqualified and almost tried to talk me out of the interview. The CEO also apparently sucks. He was surprised I didn't take notes on him and the company's competition, calling it 'very important' and 'open book/open note' for a technical role where that info is secondary. Based on what the interviewer said, many people burn out, and I can see why with upper management.
- Do research on the CTO, COO, and CEO and share your thoughts on them.
- What is your opinion on the company's competition?
Software Engineer
The interviewers were nice and responsive to all applicants. The company is a sports software company located in Calabasas. The office environment was clean and relaxed. I hope to reapply in the future.
- Could you please start with a short introduction about yourself?
Software Engineer
The interview process started with two casual conversation rounds. The third round was an on-site interview with the CTO. This person was very rude and condescending, and it seemed like they hadn't read my resume. If they had, they could have easily filtered me out earlier. They acted like I was wasting their time, even though everyone else thought my resume and experience were fine. The atmosphere seems toxic and controlling, which might be okay for some people, especially recent grads. Instead of just saying there was a mismatch, the CTO was rude and put me down to make themselves feel better. If you don't mind being treated poorly and are focused on career growth, this might be a place for you. I'm glad I didn't get the job.
