Technical Behavioral

The interview process was pretty bad. The CTO seemed to think I was overqualified and almost tried to talk me out of the interview. The CEO also apparently sucks. He was surprised I didn't take notes on him and the company's competition, calling it 'very important' and 'open book/open note' for a technical role where that info is secondary. Based on what the interviewer said, many people burn out, and I can see why with upper management.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process with TicketManager was among the best I've ever gone through. All of my conversations were extremely productive and had clear next steps at the end of every call or email. The entire team was transparent with me throughout the process, and the Talent & People leaders went above and beyond to make things as seamless as possible. The interviews were all handled in a timely, efficient manner, and I learned a great deal about the company and the potential fit along the way.

I had a phone screen with the hiring manager first, who was really nice. Then I met with four other people: three execs and another admin. They were all very professional and seemed to like me, saying I'd be a good fit. I thought I was getting an offer, but the CEO wanted to meet me too, which was strange since I wouldn't work with him directly. That interview was awful. He asked really personal stuff and kept saying 'Tell me the real answer' when he didn't like what I said. I told him I was being truthful. Apparently, that's his thing. It was super unprofessional and made me uncomfortable, so I didn't get the offer. The CEO seems to have this 'guru' thing going on there, with everyone having standing desks because he does. The execs seemed more independent, but the younger sales staff really looked up to him. It was a weird experience, but at least I have a funny story now.

Behavioral Technical

The hiring process had 5 interviews in total, a mix of phone, video, and on-site. I made it to the 4th interview, which was on-site, and then a final video call with the COO. The first couple of interviews were really laid-back, mostly just checking if I met the basic qualifications. The third one started to dig into qualifications and standard interview questions. They asked me to explain what the company does, which was a surprise because I usually learn by doing rather than just reading the website or notes from prior discussions. After the fourth interview, I got an email saying they were looking for people with experience leading enterprise implementations from start to finish, managing stakeholders, and handling complex tasks like integrations, data migration, workshops, and go-live support. They mentioned they wouldn't be moving forward with my application. This was really disappointing because I believe I would have been a great fit for the team. This requirement about leading high-velocity enterprise implementations end-to-end wasn't mentioned at all in the previous interviews, so it caught me off guard. It seems like a fantastic company, and I'll keep wondering why I got so far in the process (over 4 weeks) if I wasn't actually qualified.
