The process started with a recruiter call. Then, I went through two phone screens, as I was considered for two roles. After clearing those, I was invited for an onsite interview. I met with four people, including one of the hiring managers. One interview covered my past experience, the technologies I've used, and agile methodologies, with no technical questions. The second interview involved a whiteboard coding problem, which was quite intensive. In the third round, I was asked some SQL questions and then presented with a piece of groovy code to identify design flaws. The final round with the hiring manager included a design question and another whiteboard coding challenge. The interviews ran from about 10 am to after 2 pm, and I felt a break would have been nice.

Recruiter reached out after I applied for the Marketing Operations Associate role at Ticketfly. First, I spoke with the recruiter on the phone. Then, I had another phone interview, this time with the person who would be my direct boss.

Behavioral Presentation

I interviewed with the VP of Sales first, who I would have reported to. He seemed really into me for the role. He then had me meet the Inside Sales staff and said he'd let me know soon. After that, I had a follow-up interview with the CMO and the company founder. Both interviews went well, and the VP said he'd get back to me the next week. I never heard back, though. I tried emailing and calling the VP several times, but nothing. I ended up calling another VP of Sales to find out they chose someone else. It was pretty unprofessional not to even give me a call or email to let me know, especially after I interviewed multiple times on-site.

Behavioral Other

I interviewed with two customer support managers and one HR person. The interview took about 45 minutes. They really want you to be a music nerd for this job, so don't bother applying if you aren't. I thought I did really well and had great customer support experience, plus I was friendly and confident. The only reason I can think of for not getting the job is that I hadn't been to a concert in a while. So if you've been too broke for concerts or too busy with school, career, or kids, you're out of luck. Whatever, the starting pay is terrible anyway.
