I first had a phone call with HR, who mentioned a complex interview via Teams involving HR, a foreign language component, and professional topics. Later, I received an email with the meeting link and details. The interview started on time and followed the email instructions. It lasted 90 minutes and included someone from HR and the head of software development. The vibe was really good and friendly. They seemed well-prepared on both the HR and technical sides.

Coding Behavioral Technical

I had a coding test where I needed to implement a simple hysteresis function and create unit tests for it. Then, there was an interview with HR and a technical interview where I was asked embedded C questions. Since I was hired from another country, there was a final interview with the CTO and CEO of Hungary.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process started with a pretty chill chat with HR. Then, I had a second interview with HR and some junior engineers who asked basic technical stuff about my past experience. The third interview was with a department head who dove into tougher technical questions and problem-solving scenarios. This whole thing took about 3 months, and honestly, by then I'd already landed another job. They were going to offer me the position, but when I told them my salary expectations based on my new job, they couldn't match it. They looked kind of lost, like they only expected to pay way less than market rate. And when I asked about the work hours, they made that weird 'from can't to can' comment. Leaving that last interview, I knew this wasn't the place for me.
