I had to do a take home assignment first, then a phone interview with a recruiter, and after that, two interviews with analytics team members. One of those was a standard interview, and the other was a case study. Since I don't go to school in the area, all the interviews were remote. The whole process was super fast, much faster than other internships, I was done in like 4 weeks, while some companies took longer than that just to reply after I applied. Overall it was a great experience.
- Can you explain linear regression to someone who doesn't know much about numbers or statistics?
Analytics
Got contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn, then had an initial recruiter phone screen. After that, I was given a take-home data challenge that I had 48 hours to complete. The virtual onsite consisted of 3 rounds: one case study using Excel, a discussion about my take-home assignment, and a behavioral round with the hiring manager. The case study is really key; it's not overly difficult, but make sure you're prepared, especially if you're not used to consulting-style cases, like the 'financially reasonable or not' type.
- Can you explain how your analysis could benefit us?
- In your opinion, what qualities are essential for a product analyst?
- Describe the most difficult project you've encountered.
Analytics
Applied through Indeed and was contacted by a recruiter. Skipped the HR call and went straight to a data assessment. No follow-up was received. It was not a good experience, so I wouldn't recommend it.
- An analytics case study question was presented.
