Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Three.
Sales Representative
It was a pretty simple sales interview. They asked standard sales interview questions, and I was expected to use the STAR method. There were scenarios like discussing handling rejection, helping a teammate, and a lot of team-based questions.
- Regarding your experience working in a team, can you share an instance where you aided a team member in need?
- Can you describe a time you helped out a teammate who was struggling?
Sales Assistant
They had me fill out an online form first. Then there was a quick phone call to see if I was a good fit. After that, I had a full in-person interview with the hiring manager, where they wanted to check my skills, past experience, how I'd fit in with the team, and my potential to grow with the company.
- Could you try to sell me this mobile phone?
Sales Assistant
The interview process began with a video interview, which was fine. Following that, I had an in-store interview that went well. However, there was a store exercise where I had to go onto the shop floor, meet staff, and interact with customers. During this exercise, the staff seemed too preoccupied with their phones, discussing other colleagues or inappropriate topics. I found it difficult to feel welcome and socialize in that atmosphere. The assistant manager appeared unconcerned and concluded the interview by saying, ‘I won’t keep you here any longer, you can go.’
- Tell me about a situation where you had to step into a team leader role.
