The interview process had 7 stages spanning 23 days, including technical talks, live coding, system design, and a final panel interview. Communication was pretty good, and they let me know the final decision over a call. It was a long and deep process, so not getting any specific feedback after the final round was a bummer. A process this long and multi-stage is a big time commitment for candidates, and without feedback, it's hard to know why they made their decision or how to get better. Just so you know, this process is long and might need a lot of prep over several weeks.

The interview process is quite long and feels like overkill. There were 3-4 separate interviews during the week, followed by an in-person on-site interview where I met with 3 different senior people who asked similar questions. They see themselves as a "Technology" company, though they had a brief moment during Covid. What was surprising was the lack of basic SOPs and the waste I noticed in the DC.

I had a screening call with the recruiter, then a zoom call with the hiring manager. We talked about my portfolio and what they are looking for. I asked about the take home assignment and the HM said they give it because they need to verify if I designed my portfolio projects or if an Art Director did. They don't trust your portfolio, glad they showed their true colors.

I was really impressed with thredUP's interview process. It was super fast, only taking 8 days from when I applied to when I got the offer. I applied on a Thursday, and got an email the next day to schedule a phone interview for the following Monday. After that call, they sent me 3 sample customer service emails to answer and send back within 24 hours. They got back to me the very next day to invite me for an in-person interview on site that Friday. There, I met with 2 supervisors, got a tour, and then shadowed a customer support rep for about 20 minutes. The first interview was actually with another candidate for the same job, but they handled it well and it wasn't awkward. About an hour or two after finishing my onsite, they called and offered me the job! Everyone I met was so friendly and easy to talk to, and other employees even said hi as they passed by. It felt really welcoming. The whole thing was straightforward with no tricky questions, but they were clearly thorough and really focused on finding the right person, making sure I felt it was a good fit for me too.
