Sales Manager
I was emailed saying my experience aligns with what they're looking for, came in for a base plus commission role, was told I wasn't a good fit based on my experience, then offered a commission only sales role.
- Why were you interested in management?
Territory Sales Manager
So, heads up on the job you're applying for, because it's kinda like a bait and switch. A territory sales manager role here is basically just running appointments yourself. They try to disguise it under different names too, like "garage and basement guru" or "existing customers sales rep." The interview process usually kicks off with a call from HR, then the next week you talk to a sales manager, and the third week, another sales manager. Honestly, most good salespeople have already landed something by the second week.
- Tell me about a time when something happened.
- What are your salary expectations in sales?
- Now it's your turn to interview me.
Sales Manager
It was a really professional and friendly process. They seemed to want the best person for the job. The questions were tough but fitting for the role. Started with a phone screen, then a Teams call, and finally an in-person interview.
- Tell me about your biggest weakness.
