Project Manager
I had a nice chat with a recruiter first. Then, I interviewed with HR. She was friendly too, but it turned out she hadn't really looked at my resume. They were hoping for someone who'd worked with lots of clients, but my experience was with one client on many projects. We spent two interview rounds figuring this out.
- Can you tell me about your project-related responsibilities?
- How do you go about reporting your results?
- What's your experience like working with multiple clients?
Project Manager
I met with the HR manager first, who was very friendly. She mainly asked about my resume and past experience. Then she took me to my current manager. It was mostly the same process; she asked me about my past experience, why I wanted to work here, and what my job roles would be if hired. She then asked if I had time to demonstrate my writing skills. Of course, I agreed. We went to a conference room, where she logged me into a computer and gave me a sheet with three blog topics. She told me she'd be back in 30 minutes and that I could do online research about the topics if needed. After that, I came back once more to meet with the department manager for a very quick and easy interview.
- Can you tell me about your writing skills, previous experience, and understanding of this field?
- Do you have any questions about your writing abilities, past work history, or familiarity with the industry?
Project Manager
There were three phone interviews. The first was with HR, then the hiring manager gave me a project to finish, and then a third phone interview to present the project. After that, I had an in-person interview.
- Can you describe your management style?
- Do you like working very closely with clients?
