Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Thomas J. Henry Law, PLLC.
Case Manager
This was a really strange interview process. I applied and got a call almost right away for a phone screen. They then scheduled a Zoom interview, but the person didn't show up for over 30 minutes. They had to reschedule. Then, about an hour before the new time, a recruiter called asking if I could come in for an in-person interview at the office, which I couldn't do because of the short notice. When I finally got on the rescheduled Zoom, the interviewer had a really negative vibe from the start, which made me uncomfortable. The call lasted less than 5 minutes, and she only asked one question about my experience before ending it. I felt like I didn't get a fair chance and maybe they just went through the motions because they'd already decided on someone. It wasn't a good experience.
- Can you tell me about your past experience?
Manager
It was a virtual interview where they asked normal questions. I met with two senior directors. They explained the role and expectations. I felt like I understood the position and the next steps. The interviewers were very friendly and knowledgeable about the company. It was about 30-45 minutes long.
- Can you describe your management style?
Case Manager
I sent in my application online. A few weeks after that, I got a call back. During the phone call, they asked me some questions, and then we set up a Zoom meeting. After the first Zoom meeting, I had one last interview in person.
- What makes you a suitable candidate for this firm?
- Have you worked at a law firm before?
