The interview process was very welcoming, designed to make candidates feel at ease. They were keen on understanding your career aspirations and what you hope to achieve in the role. The company's mission and operations were clearly explained, and there was ample opportunity to ask questions. The interview itself took place in a quiet environment and was a one-on-one with a senior member of the management team.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process had 3 rounds. The first round was with the company president, Dana. The second round revealed the true nature of the job: starting in sales roles within stores like Costco or Sam's Club, with the eventual goal of becoming an executive manager, possibly within a year and earning $70k-$120k. It was also clarified in the third round that the starting pay is either hourly ($7.50) or commission (18% net sales), not both. The third round, back at the office with Dana and an assistant manager, also disclosed that reaching the executive manager level involves starting your own business, with Dana providing startup funds and profiting from your business. This aspect wasn't mentioned in the job description and wasn't something I desired. I felt misled due to the inaccurate job description, but appreciated the offer and time given.

I applied online and got a call the next day. They said the interviews were wrapping up the following Monday and I needed to go to Houston for it. The notes from the call said 'oversee accounts and events...event-based, no cold calls.' I got there on time and there were three other people waiting. I had to wait 30 minutes because the HR director was interviewing others. Turns out 'events' meant selling stuff like hair straighteners or hair removal products at Costco. I drove three hours for a 15-minute interview to find this out. No degree needed for this, I think. My time felt wasted, don't waste yours.
