I interviewed for a Forum role in Hong Kong. It was a straightforward process. The recruiter was very pleasant, nice, and professional. It's important to prepare your understanding of the role, as even though she explained it well, not knowing the position is a major concern. She also gave transparent feedback, which was appreciated. I've seen this recruiter at job fairs, and she's generally nice and accommodating. I'd recommend interviewing here; it can change your perspective on the company and the role.
- How did you find out about this job opportunity?
- What do you know about our company and the position?
- Can you describe your previous experiences related to this role using the STAR method?

I applied through an agency and had a phone interview really quickly. It was mostly competency-based questions, though the interviewer was a bit aggressive. After that, I was asked to come into the office the next day, which was inconvenient as I lived far away and they didn't seem to care. The same person who did the phone interview and a colleague interviewed me in person. It was a super awkward hour. The interviewer was even more combative in person than on the phone, which was weird since they asked basically the same questions. I just wanted to leave because the atmosphere was so bad, and I think they liked it. I could get being grilled like that by a top bank, but not a new startup, especially when they claim to be 'new, modern and friendly'. The role also became clearer as the interview went on and it wasn't like the job ad at all – it was more about cold calling. I never heard back from them even though they said they'd give me feedback and updates. Honestly, I didn't care much because I didn't want the job anyway! It just shows how little they care about applicants. Save yourself the time and don't apply here. I found the interview difficult because of the uncomfortable atmosphere, even though the questions themselves were straightforward.
- How would your past manager describe your performance and give reasons for that?
- What are your main shortcomings?
- Can you describe a time you had to collaborate with someone difficult?

The interview process included two phone interviews and two on-site interviews with team leaders and hiring managers. Mainly the questions were situational questions as well as background check. What makes me have a negative impression about the interview process is that they promised to give me feedback by a certain deadline but didn't do so for twice (First they said they would give me feedback in that week and the second time they said they would give me the feedback within that day). This made me question their credibility and i really felt not repeated as a candidate being proceeded to the final stage.
