Account Executive
The hiring process was well-organized with great people, but the final round was extremely long and felt overly demanding for an individual contributor role. It seemed like they used a format typically reserved for high-impact executive or VP positions, which was unusual for a non-executive leadership role.

Account Executive
So first I had this task where I had to respond to tickets, kind of like I was already part of the team, to see how I handled customers and how I'd find info. Then, I chatted with two people from HR for about 30 mins about my past work. They really dug into my experience, asking about former jobs, my best wins, toughest times, and why I moved on. The last step was a 2-hour in-person chat with the hiring manager and the Head of HR. We talked about every job I've had since college, even my time in school. For each job, they asked about my biggest success, biggest challenge, my connection with my manager, and why I switched. It was super in-depth, but felt more like they were trying to get to know me since they're picky about who they hire. I got plenty of time to ask them questions too. They even gave me a verbal offer that same day because they knew I had another offer I needed to decide on soon.
- Can you walk me through each of your past roles, including your relationship with your manager, your most significant achievement and challenge, the reasons for leaving, what you learned, and what you might have done differently?
- Tell me about each of your jobs, your relationship with your manager, the biggest challenge/achievement in that role/why you left the role/company.
- What was the biggest thing that you learned and what would you have done differently?
Account Executive
The interview started with a 1 hour meeting, cameras off, with the recruiter and the VP Sales. It was a simulation of a phone call, which felt odd and unwelcoming. It was 45-50 minutes of direct questions from two people I couldn't see. I think it's important to see each other during interviews, as I was also evaluating Thinkific. I finished the call with no interest or excitement about working there.
- Tell me about a deal you were most proud of.
