I had a 1.5 hour interview with 3 interviewers. The first person asked a simple DSA question. The second interviewer focused on system design questions. The third interviewer assessed culture fit.

The interview process started with a HackerRank challenge that had two 'easy' LeetCode-level questions. After that, I had three 30-minute interviews back-to-back. These interviews felt more like introductory chats. They seemed to get that it's a graduate role, so they weren't asking super hard questions on weird algorithms or tech. Instead, they wanted to see if I'm keen on learning new stuff. So, the interviews were pretty 'soft' overall, but we did dive into technical details. I actually learned a lot about the company. I did get an offer, but I had to decline because THG requires interns to be on-site, and I assumed it was remote. Plus, I can't relocate to Manchester.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Given the context provided about the interviewer's current projects, does that sound like something you'd be interested in?
  • Would you be interested in working on a project similar to what I've described?

Behavioral Presentation

So we had a video call with two senior folks from the team, and then I went to their office for an in-person interview with two more team members. It was pretty chill, but the in-person thing had a presentation part that they didn't really mention until I got there. They kept asking about moving, and after the in-person, they just ghosted me for weeks, then hit me up asking the same stuff again. Super frustrating.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • Can you relocate to the area?
  • What's your plan for commuting, and do you own a car?
  • Considering a move, is our office location a feasible commute for you?
