First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Theory.
Intern
I sent my resume to HR and they set up a phone interview. The next week, they told me I had a second round interview. Since I wasn't in NYC, they were nice and set up a Skype interview. It was pretty standard, with normal questions that were more about information than behavior. I found out two weeks later I got the job.
- Tell me about your motivation for wanting to join Theory.
- What would you say are your main strengths?
- What about your weaknesses?
Intern
The interviewer was super rude and condescending. They didn't seem interested in me at all once I mentioned my major wasn't directly business-related, and they barely let me explain myself. It felt like they purposefully asked me questions they knew I'd have to say 'no' to, focusing on my weaknesses instead of letting me highlight my strengths.
- Are you familiar with using complex equations in Excel?
Intern
I had a phone interview to discuss interning at Theory. It went well, and HR was very informative and helpful in describing what my responsibilities would be and who I would be working with. I felt as though they asked well thought out questions and didn't throw me with any surprises. It was all conducted quickly and professionally.
- Why are you interested in Theory?
