The interview process felt a bit disorganized and chaotic, much like Zappos itself, with a lot of initial promise. There wasn't much coordination on the interview day, and many sessions covered the same topics. The sessions that got into actual work were much more productive. The entire process takes a long time, supposedly to 'really get to know you,' but it seems more due to significant gaps in communication and a process bogged down by bureaucracy. Despite this, many people I met during the interviews were great and reinforced that Zappos was a place I wanted to work.

After submitting my online video interview, I heard back about a month later about an in-person interview in Las Vegas. They flew a bunch of us intern candidates out for a 2-day trip with touring and interviews. We got to meet our teams and really learn about the company and its culture. I had interviews for the role and for culture fit. Everyone was super nice.
