Data Scientist
It was a long process. There was a tech round, then a timed data challenge on Hackerrank, followed by a culture fit round, and then the final virtual onsite. The interviewers were really nice. Getting feedback took a while, which made it feel like I interviewed with them for ages. The interviews themselves were easy to medium difficulty. The data challenge was also easy as long as you got the question, but if you got stuck on an error, two hours might not be enough.
- Questions that were case study-like, to understand your business thought process
- Coding questions asked during the final virtual interview
- Basic Machine Learning questions
Data Scientist
after applying online, i quickly received an online assessment which included a virtual interview and a tech challenge that i had a week to complete. the virtual interview seemed really important.
- Tell me about yourself.
- Can you explain your experience with creating or working with REST APIs for the tech challenge?
Data Scientist
It started with a recruiter screen, then I talked to the hiring manager. After that, there was a technical screen, and then a 5 or 6 hour "loop style" interview. Most of the interviews in the loop were like Amazon's "tell me about a time when..." questions, and there were a few easy coding questions. After about 9 hours of interviewing, I was ghosted. Not a good experience.
- Can you share the accomplishment in your career that you're most proud of?
- Describe a situation from your past professional experience.
- What is the total amount spent by each customer, using SQL?
