I applied online and got an email for a video interview. Then, a recruiter called me for a culture fit interview. After that, I had a phone interview with my potential manager. Then I skyped with two potential team members. Next, I had to do a skills test in excel. After all that, they invited me to their headquarters in Las Vegas for an all-day interview, and they covered all my travel and lodging expenses. During the visit, I toured the office and had another culture fit interview with a recruiter. I also interviewed with two potential co-workers, and two people from my department took me out to lunch to tell me about the company culture. Finally, I met with a colleague who has a similar role to the one I was applying for, and then met with my manager and the two team members I spoke with earlier. It was a very eventful day. A few days later, they asked for information for a background check, and once that cleared, they extended a final offer.
- If you were shrunk down to the size of a nickel and dropped into a blender with the blades set to start in 60 seconds, what would you do?
Analyst
I had a phone screen with the recruiter, followed by another phone screen with the hiring manager. Then there was a 7-hour on-site interview with about 12 interviewers, which was super exhausting. They asked a lot of the same questions over and over, and some interviewers seemed unprepared. Some of the 'high-tech' employees were rude, not making eye contact and staring at their laptops, but I tried to handle it professionally. They covered my flight, hotel, and hotel breakfast, plus lunch, but I had to pay for two dinners and airport parking.
- Who would you choose to have dinner with, living or dead, and explain your choice?
- Describe the geekiest aspect of your personality and the reason behind it.
