Administrative
The interview process was standard and nothing out of the ordinary. They will assess cultural fit and your ability to be independent. Make sure you know the person that you will work for.
- Can you tell me about your experience in a similar role?
Administrative Assistant
I'm pretty let down by how this company interviewed candidates. I'd read some reviews and was hoping for a better experience. A recruiter reached out via email to set up a call about the job. We had a good 45-minute chat where she told me about another role she thought would be a better fit. She was really clear about the next steps, which I liked. Later that day, she called to set up an interview with the Manager of Employee Engagement Experience and gave me pointers on how to prepare. The interview with the manager went pretty well, I think. Afterward, she mentioned she'd be in touch after meeting with the recruiter. The next day, the recruiter called to check in on how the interview went. It surprised me a bit because she sounded down, but she was just seeing how I felt. I told her I thought it went well, but you never really know! She said she'd meet with the manager later that week and update me. After that, I didn't hear anything. I emailed the recruiter a week later to follow up, but got no response. A couple of weeks later, I got an email saying I didn't get a position, but it wasn't the one I applied for. I get that there are other candidates, but I wish I'd gotten a closing statement or update from my recruiter. The process was great until the point where they stopped responding, then it took a bad turn. Hopefully, The Wonderful Company can improve this for future applicants.
- Tell me about your current job responsibilities.
Executive Assistant
The interview process began with a recruiter phone call that was very pleasant. This was followed by an in-person interview with several executives. The interview was rescheduled two or three times. The office environment was extremely disappointing and did not match the company's brand image, appearing old, unattractive, and depressing. This led to concerns about potential cost-cutting in other areas like infrastructure, technology, and benefits, given the apparent preference for hoarding money over investing in an inspiring workplace.
