The interview was pretty quick and easy, all set up nicely. It was all online via Zoom. There were 2 main parts to it. First, you had to watch a webinar that gave a general idea of the company, and then complete a survey. If you did well on that, you'd move on to the second part, which was a one-on-one interview. This was also over Zoom because of social distancing. After that, if they thought you were a good match and you were engaging and asked questions, they might just offer you the job.

The job ad and email I got were really misleading. The ad claimed a salary between $40k and $50k per year. However, you don't learn until about an hour or more into the "interview" that it's entirely commission-based. Salary and commission are not the same thing, and they should have been upfront about this. I also thought I'd be working with existing business clients. Instead, the job involves going to people's homes to sell them supplemental insurance. The expectation is to visit 12-15 homes weekly, and payment is only received if you sign up at least 4 clients. The "interview" itself was a group seminar, and I left before it concluded.

Signed in at the front desk and stated who I was there to see. I was given a form to fill out while waiting for the hiring manager. Once called in, my resume and the form were requested. I was asked a few screening questions about my experience, what I'm looking for, and why I'm searching for a career, similar to basic corporate interview questions. Afterward, I was interviewed by a group panel where company information, details about pay, and available positions were discussed. That was the extent of the interview process.

The interview process has three steps. The management team was very timely and answered all questions. If you are not in Georgia, you will need to get your insurance license before starting training. Training lasts two weeks and is very in-depth, covering what you need to know and having you do a lot of the work while supervised.
