I booked an interview time-slot through indeed and practiced basic interview questions. Showed up 15 minutes early to the store and we started the interview right away, just tucked away on the side of the store. The first questions was "Tell me about yourself." The interviewer was very receptive. They made the interview feel more natural, like a conversation. We discussed relevant job experiences and a handful of situational questions were asked. Like: how you deal with upset customers? how did you solve a problem in your workplace? I was also asked how I might approach the learning curve to dealing with packages when there are strict guidelines about what you can and can't do. Then, we discussed more basic things like the commute and wrapped up the interview! It wasn't just me talking about myself either, the employer took some time to describe the workplace. Overall, the interview probably lasted just under 20 minutes.

The interview process was pretty straightforward and easy. The interviewer first gave me an overview of the company and what the job entails. After that, they asked me some common questions related to the role, such as how I've handled difficult customers and why I'm interested in working here.

I applied on Indeed and got a call back the next day. I missed it but texted the owner back as the voicemail suggested, and we scheduled a time to meet at the store. The following day, we went to a coffee shop and she and I talked about my background. I could tell she was super passionate about the business, which made it easy to just chat like humans instead of a stressful interrogation. It was a really nice experience, and we covered personal stuff too, like careers, goals, and past jobs. It felt like a balanced conversation where we both learned about each other. The owner was great. We discussed compensation, and I was able to negotiate more than the advertised salary. I got the job offer right away! TIPS: Be pleasant, kind, and considerate – it's customer service! It also helps to mention you're quick to learn new tech systems since they use a few that can be tricky for new hires and are a common reason people quit within the first week. (They're not that hard to learn, though!)
