Behavioral Presentation

After applying, I got an email from TJX to do a HireVue video interview. It was mostly behavioral questions, giving me a minute to prep for each one, and it took about 45 minutes. A few weeks later, they said I was moving on but that the final interview would have to wait a couple of months. My recruiter reached out after another month to say a region opened up and if I was open to relocating, they'd schedule the final interview with a district manager. The recruiter was great, keeping me updated, but the whole thing took a long time. I did the final interview a few weeks ago and haven't heard back yet, though they said I'd know within a week.

The interview was pretty straightforward and lasted about 25 minutes. The interviewer talked about the company and the program. She asked if I was open to relocating, and when I said yes, she seemed pleased. We then reviewed my resume, which was quick since I don't have much on it. She did ask about any gaps in my work history, why I left my last job, and my responsibilities in my current role. Following that, she asked me five required behavioral questions. She mentioned that my answers could come from work, volunteer activities, or school clubs. Unfortunately, I didn't get the job, and they were prompt in letting me know. The overall process involves more than just this one interview, so if you pass, be ready for another round.

You'll talk to a recruiter first, and then they'll send your info to the District Manager for the area you want to work in. The hiring process is pretty frustrating. The interview itself is easy, but the recruiter kept cutting me off while I was talking. The recruiter took a bunch of vacations after my first interview back in November, so they don't remember anything about me. They thought I interviewed with someone I hadn't, and I had to remind them about job openings and follow up with them. Be ready to chase them for updates.
