The interview process took a very long time with significant delays between communications, which is a way to lose good candidates. I was repeatedly told I was a great candidate and a good fit for the job, but was ultimately rejected because of my availability. If you can't offer completely open availability, they won't consider you for a management role, even if you offer very flexible availability. This is quite frustrating for parents who want to work.

I applied online for TJX Companies' CMTP (Corporate Management in Training Program) college program. About a month later, I got an email for a phone interview with the hiring manager. We talked on the phone, and the questions were mostly about my knowledge of the program and my reasons for wanting to begin my career at TJX Companies. The interview went fine, but at the end, he asked about my visa status because I'm an international student. I mentioned I could work in the US for a year legally but would need sponsorship after that. He then stated that TJX does not provide visa sponsorship for international students and that they are seeking candidates for a long-term career path, aiming to become a buyer. Because of this, I wasn't accepted into the program.
