I applied through Monster.com, which is how they hire everyone. They called me to set up an interview for the next week. I got a call back the same day with the job offer. I told them I would think about it and call back the next day. I went back the next week to fill out paperwork and started the following week. I interviewed with the assistant manager and the store manager stopped by for a few minutes during the interview. The interview had very basic questions, nothing out of the ordinary.

The interview process was typical, and I was initially excited to speak with them. However, after doing some research, I became concerned. While I enjoyed the interview itself, I didn't get satisfactory answers to my questions about the store and market conditions in my area, given it's a sales commission job. I discovered that the current manager is the fourth one in less than a year and that the store is consistently understaffed, which I found unsettling. The manager's responses didn't alleviate my concerns. My main goal was to ascertain if I genuinely had a chance to succeed, rather than just being sold on a role.

It was a pretty straightforward and quick interview. The person I met was really nice, and the office environment felt very welcoming and accommodating. I was keen to find out more about the products they offer.
