Sales Lead
I first applied for a job near me. The recruiter told me that job wasn’t open, but they had one a bit further away. I interviewed over the phone and then in person for that one, and everyone was into moving forward. A few days later, it turned out THAT job was also gone. So, they had me interview again for a different job that was even more distant. I did that one too, and again, everyone was ready to hire me. They even said I’d start shadowing before official training. Great, right? Still haven't heard anything after they said, “you should see your offer letter later today.” Don't bother driving to these interviews. They promised me an offer letter at every single step and then ghosted me. It's unbelievable how bad this is.
- I was asked a lot of questions during the various interviews. They were quite thorough, at least with my experience.
Sales Manager
I was contacted by the company after they looked over my resume. I had 3 interviews. First was basically the intro, I got a call out of the blue so I went over my work history etc. Stated they wanted me to move forward. Second was a more formal interview on camera, spoke with a woman. It lasted about an hour or so. She told me she wanted to move forward with me and that I just needed to have a quick call with her boss over the phone so he can sign off on me and then they would start the process of onboarding. Third interview was NOT what she said. I had to hop back in zoom and he interviewed me all over again for another hour. When I gave him my responses he was quiet for anywhere between 30-60secs which I thought was extremely rude. Was told they wanted me in a certain store and that I would be great and that the woman would follow up with me the next day. Next day goes by, not a word. I texted her the day after and she told me she would let me know by Thursday bc now all of sudden they are interviewing other ppl which btw was not what I was told when I spoke with the first person. It has been 5 days and guess what? She still never responded. Not even to say they wanted to go with someone else which was extremely rude. I took time out of my work day for these interviews and they couldn’t even give me the common courtesy to just say, hey we don’t like you, we’re going with someone else. Just ghosted me like a crazy ex girlfriend. So all in all, not a good experience.
- Can you discuss your experience managing teams?
- How do you go about motivating your employees?
Market Manager
I was contacted by a recruiter via Indeed.com. The hiring manager then interviewed me and discussed expectations, but their questions didn't seem related to the job qualifications or decision-making criteria. I've conducted executive interviews before and this one was particularly unusual. They said I'd get an offer within two business days, but four days passed with no word. I tried contacting the recruiter and hiring manager for updates but got no response. Finally, four days later, the recruiter texted saying the hiring manager made a decision and would have called me, which I found out was false because they hired a colleague with less experience who apparently knew someone. They were supposed to call me today.
- Can you explain the difference between a reason and an excuse?
Brand Ambassador
I signed up on the website and it looked very cool. I was so happy because it was a really nice job that I had never seen before. They called me a week later and interviewed me over the phone. Then there was a webinar where they gave all the info and explained how intense the work is and that the equipment requires strict safety guidelines. Then they confirmed our interest one last time in a few contracts and gave us our start date.
- Can you tell me about your background and previous work experience?
- What job-related skills do you possess?
- Would you be interested in this position given the job description, schedule, and location?
