First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at The Reject Shop.
Christmas Casual
We had a group interview at Eastlands, Rosny. It wasn't a terrible one with silly activities or pointless questions. We were divided into three groups, given clipboards, and asked to prioritize tasks like helping customers, restocking, and cleaning spills. We introduced ourselves, filled out paperwork, watched a short slideshow, and completed the activity. Then we were ghosted.
- Can you tell us something about yourself?
Christmas Casual
I found this job on Indeed.com, which then sent me to the company's website where I applied. About a month after applying, the store manager gave me a call and invited me in for an interview. The manager was really nice, and the questions during the interview were pretty basic. They asked things like 'tell us about yourself,' 'why did you decide to apply here,' 'can you share an instance where you provided customer service,' 'what constitutes excellent customer service,' and 'what's your availability?'
- Can you share an instance where you delivered great customer service?
Retail Assistant
They gave me a call about a week after I sent in my resume and set up an in-person interview at the store. After that, they let me know I got the job and sent over the paperwork via email.
- Can you tell me about your availability?
- What makes you want to work here?
- How would you define good customer service?
